Several of the old crew paddled out to pay our respects to John Flynn, who passed at his home on the Big Island. An Orchid lei was released after individual memories and prayers.

Roger hosted a gathering at his boathouse, where photos and memories were shared. Difficult to realize that we are all entering the twilight years but comforting to know that we have old friends to share these times

Waves For The Brave

First event is July 8.. Cmon down and cheer these vets on...some of them are remarkable surfers and some are just so thrilled to be in the water that it warms your core to see their happiness

Well this blog has been quite dormant!! But I haven't ! Some of you know that I created Wavzcap and if you are on FaceBook or twitter, you are welcome to follow.

A new surf show is closer to our area... At Ortly Beach in NJ. I will be vending on May 12 and this is shaping up to be a great event .. With a party afterwards and great bands all day.

I will have complementary tickets, so contact me if interested.

August 20 -21events

There is so much happening this weekend!!  Not sure which one to attend!

Sat the 20th offers to contests, the ESA in Narragansett and The 2nd Longboard contest to benefit Potters League will be at Surfer’s Rock on 2nd Beach in Newport.  This is also the Cape Cod Bay Challenge SUP race from Plymouth to Welfleet!

Sunday starting at 7 is the Waves for the Braves Camp organization by the VA. I missed the July event so do plan to attend.

My personal goal is to catch a few Hull waves on my SUP and test out the 400 mm lens to capture a better picture of Boston Light!

How many memories were created here?? Personally I grew up here, my father spent time in China and loved to cook Chinese.  He was friends with the owner, so I had Chinese at least twice a week!
